Myself and 25 other local artists have been commissioned to create a piece of work inspired by the famous 'Ophelia' painting by Sir John Everett Millais.  We were given free reign to express our own response and interpretation of the painting and I found this quite an exciting prospect and thoroughly enjoyed researching and working on my piece.

There will be a wide range of art to view at the exhibition, many in various media including paintings, sculpture, mixed media art, pop art and more.

This exhibition is part of the annual Peterborough Artists Open Studios even which this year runs on these weekends: 25th/26th June, 2nd/3rd July and 9th/10th July.

Myself and over 70 Peterborough artists will be opening our studios to the public again this year at various venues across the city.

This year I will be exhibiting with talented artists Mahemuda Arselani, Josephine Kelly-Gobuiwang, Tony Nero, Carole Boyer and Karl Dardis.

We will be exhibiting together at St. Mark's Church, 82 Lincoln Road, Peterborough, PE1 2SN on the weekends of 27/28th June and 4/5th July and some of us will be doing demonstrations of our work. Please make a special note that on each Saturday we will be open from 10am - 4pm and on each Sunday we will be open from 12pm - 4pm over the two weekends.

There will be ample parking, refreshments, and lots of art, greeting cards and prints to look at and purchase, so I really do hope to see you there!

Some of my original paintings will be on display and available for purchase at the annual Art & Craft Exhibition in St. Mary's Church in Whittlesey, Peterborough.

St. Mary's Church is located in the heart of Whittlesey and easily accessible via bus or car. 

The exhibition is full of talented local artists and crafters and is always a successful annual event in Whittlesey.  Last year there was a wonderful array of pottery, patchwork, original paintings, carpentry and many other crafts on display.

The exhibition runs from Friday 24th April to Sunday 26th April and is open on each day from 10 am to 5pm.  There is also a preview evening on Thursday 23rd April from 7pm to 9pm with wine and buffet.  The preview evening is free to artists and invited guests and the exhibition will be formally opened by Councillor David Mason, Mayor of Whittlesey.

There is wheelchair access and refreshments available and the entry fee is only £2 for adults and £1 for children under 16.

This is the main Open Studios event where the public will get a wonderful opportunity to visit artists in their homes and studios.  You will be able to talk to many of the artists about their work, see some of them doing live demonstrations and purchase much of the lovely art on display, if you wish to do so. 

Some venues will offer refreshments and entry is always free.

My own work will be displayed at the Embe Restaurant, 2 Burghley Road, Peterborough, PE1 2QB throughout all three weekends.  I will be exhibiting with two other talented artists namely, Mahemuda Arsalani (mosaics) and Josie Kelly-Gobuiwang (painting and lino prints). We will be available from 12pm to 5pm each weekend during Open Studios so come and have a chat with us about our inspirations and see us doing some live art too.

This is a brilliant cultural event to visit during the summer in Peterborough, so be sure not to miss it!

Peterborough Artists Open Studio are hosting a preview event to give a little taster of what will be on offer at the main Open Studios event 3 weeks later.

I will be there with 19 other artists and it will give the public a chance to see us showcasing our work and view some of us demonstrating our art techniques.

This event is free and will be held outside in Cathedral Square, Peterborough - just look for the marquees!
