So I've decided to step out of my comfort zone a bit and explore some new watercolour techniques. My paintings are usually very bold and vibrant in colour and whilst I enjoy that, I've always wanted to try a more delicate style. However, once I start, I always end up saturating the image with more & more colour. It's a bit like a scary compulsion!
I think it would do me good to learn to reign myself in a bit and try a different way of doing things. My aim isn't to completely change my style of art but I think learning new techniques can only enhance my work. Below is one of my attempts at incorporating the Wet in Wet Watercolour Technique into my usual way of working:
